Playdate and Naptime

Kellie and I went to play with Terra and her daughter Nora and Diana and her son Elijah. We went for a walk while the babies slept in their slings. Kellie was absolutely taken with George, Terra's dog. She was cracking up! Which made him bark in response, which made her laugh even harder. We had to seperate them, they were being so noisy! Kellie slept last night from 11:00pm until 6:45am! And then napped from 8:30am until 11:10am!! Who is this baby?

Cloth Advocate

You all know I use cloth diapers, right? Well, I use them for lots of reasons:

I just wanted to provide some links (Especially for you Sheryl, with your new bundle of joy on the way) because I think everyone deserves to know all their options. It's never too late to start cloth diapering. Even cloth diapering part-time will save that much more money with every cloth diaper you use in place of disposable. Cloth diapering does not need to be full time to reap the benefits.

Thanks for reading!

Happy Nine Months!

Can you believe that nine months ago today, Kellie was born?

Beautiful Kellie! My life has never been so greatly impacted by one tiny person.

To celebrate her nine months here, I've selected my favorite photos corresponding with the 25th of each month.

May May

Kellie calls me May May. How cute is that?

A Little Of This, A Little Of That

A little more love from Bernie! I made the wool pants in this photo a while ago. I sent them to my Mom and she de-funked them. Then I added elastic and a festive bow! And the shirt is one I painted long ago, freshly serged! These are prefitteds. Basically a prefold diaper (looks like a burpcloth) with elastic at the legs and waist and extended wings. These are pinnable or Snappi'able. This stuff is addicting! I made all 6 prefitteds last night!

That's a pumpkin in the lower lefthand corner... Not an apple.

Brian's Birthday and I Get Pretties?

Remember when I bought a ring for my swollen pregnant finger? I paid $40 for it? Well, we went in to Kay's tonight to get Brian his third wedding band. (He loses them so easily! The sales lady made him promise to stop taking it off when he washes his hands.) I brought it in to see about trading it in since I never wear it and prefer my wedding band. Would you guess I got a trade-in value of $100?? I traded it for this. I think we got a sweet deal. Then we went and got ice cream for Brian's birthday. We had chicken cutlets (Brian's favorite) and rice for dinner. We had a good night!

Rags To Riches

Is there anything my new serger can't do??

In the short time that Bernie has been with me, I've made a little over a dozen cloth wipes for Nora, eight lap tees for Kellie, a little over two dozen cloth napkins, and three new cloth diapers! I'm going to make curtains for Kellie and a skirt for me this week. I'm having so much fun with Bernie! Thanks Mom!

Banana Party

I went to a Banana Party tonight with Cherish. This is my banana - Chiquita. She's got a coconut bra, a grass skirt, a flower lei, a fruit headdress, blue earrings, and she's winking. I had so much fun making her! And I won the contest. Below a photo of Chiquita and a photo of her competition.

Should I Revive This Blog?

Let's hear it! Should I breathe some life back into this thing? The new blog I made... well, it sucked. This one has stayed true for coming up on two years! What do you think?
