Understanding Laura

I am a crunchy oddball with too many ideas and too little time. Do you get me now?

Kellie Allison

Hello friends and family! I'd like to give you a mini-rundown of our new arrival. Details will be later when I've had a nap (or three!).

Kellie was born on Saturday night at 11:41. She weighed 6 pounds 1.8 ounces. She is 18 inches long and she is absolutely everything we hoped for and more! Despite being early, she passed every test with flying colors. According to her due date, she was born at 35 weeks. According to her development, the doctor said she was probably 37 weeks. So she's not too early and she's thriving. She's a hungry girl!

Until I have more spare time, I put all the photos we have in our camera here. We have more in our video camera (Thanks Jim and Carol!) and as soon as we figure out the software, I'll put those up too.

Thanks for all the well-wishes!

She is absolutely beautiful! I love her dark hair poking out of her hat! Congratulations and I am so happy that you are all doing so well!

She's wearing the hat!!! Oh my gosh, I'm in love. Seriously, so in love with her. I wanna keep her! You have to come visit ASAP so I can fall even more in love, if that's possible! P.S. guess who is insanely baby hungry now? I went to the ob/gyn today and I was kind of hoping they'd say "Oh you don't need a birth control refill, you're pregnant!" But that didn't happen. I MISS YOUR FACE!

Look how happy you guys are! And she is just so beautiful, I can't get over it!

Tommy wants us to go up there...he knows I miss you, and that I want Kellie and Anjali to meet, and says he's always wanted to go to AK anyway. Call me (when you get a moment in a few weeks, lol), and we'll talk about a visit, maybe this summer. Okay, I love you, Brian and Kellie Allison!

Oh, and you are not to overdo it... just rest and bond with your baby-kins... Brian can do the dishes and the laundry for a little bit.

Oh, and call me if you need someone to talk to(baby blues suck and we all get them), or you're having trouble breast feeding...or well, for anything really.

Sorry, I'm rambling. I'm just SO EXCITED!!!!

Congratulations!! I can't believe she's here already. I think it's so crazy I just talked to you asking when your due date was and now she's here!! I'm so happy for you!

I'm sorry for posting twice but I'm just so excited! I can't stop looking at the pictures! I called Jacob in to look at them and I was showing him a few of the really good pictures and he was like "Hey! I haven't seen them all! Put it on the slideshow!" And then we watched them all and oohhed and ahhhed (and I cried a little to myself because I wish I was there so bad!) Give her a big kiss from her Auntie Em. Mwuah!

Congratulations! Hooray for you two! She looks beautiful! I bet she's going to be gorgeous when she's older, just like her mother :D

Oh, Laura Michelle, she's beautiful! We love her! Thanks for sharing so many photos.

It seems unfair that friends get to hold our precious grand-daughter before we do but it is also heart-warming that your friends are there to give you so much support - we love them for thier kindness.

I love that Kellie received care from a "Grandma" type nurse (I could tell from her hands) and was there to help you and Brian.

Hugs and Buttefly Kisses to each of you. Can't wait to here your voice again!

Hugs and Kisses from Dad/Grandpa - too!

Hi Laura, Brian & Kellie Allison,
I was so happy to get the phone call from you last night... thankyou so much :)
looks like you have a beautiful baby girl that needs your love and care, and I know that you two will provide it for her. If you need anything let me know at anytime no matter what it may be, I know it is tough with all the screaming, crying, and eating that is gonna start but you can do it! you two are strong. I love you and hope to see more of my new niece when you are feeling up to it.

Okay I feel weird being the last one to leave a comment. YAY! I am aunt to my first little niece. Those chubby cheeks are just what I imagined. Be thankful that when she sleeps during the day you can too and get all the sleep that you can!It gives me warm fuzzies thinking of Brian as a dad with his little girl. Whenever you get frustrated with sleepless nights or anything else, just think that this to shall pass(there is an end) thats what I do when I am at my whits end. It really helps even if its just a little. Enjoy your sweet bundle!

Ahh! Even little Alona was able to post her sweet sentiments! She has such neat parents!

If Abbi were to post a comment I'm sure it would be something like... bA-bee (said almost as a sigh)!

Thank you to my children for all of the love and support you give each other. It truly warms my heart and brings tears to my eyes. :)
