Post Nap Frollicking

I just couldn't resist sharing this wild child hair-do. :P

Bargain Bin

So I guess I should post something. :D

I've been on a bit of a toy buying extravaganza. I'm starting to fret over the long winter months spent indoors and have been on a mad hunt for toys that will help develop Kellie's fine and gross motor skills...and keep her MaMa from going crazy.

First we have the purple tote on clearance from JoAnn's for $3.50 filled with $8 worth of foam blocks from our local consignment store - Once Upon A Child.
Total cost - $11.50

Next we have a Snow White costume to add to Kellie's slowly growing dress up box, purchased from Once Upon A Child for $4. Shoes given by Heather (Thanks Heather!).

Total cost - $4

And lastly, a swimming pool ball pit purchased on clearance from WalMart for $2.65,
filled with $40 worth of balls.
Total cost - $42.65

Fifty-eight dollars and fifteen cents later...

I'm sure the winter will still feel long, but now I'll be slightly better equipped to help Kellie expel some of her excess toddler energy. The only item left on my list of possible toys to help distract the young one is set of collapsible, snappable, totally transportable tunnels. This, I don't think I'll be able to score a deal on. The set I'm looking at is $100 with a good possibility of free shipping. The cost of a weekly visit to the local recreation center/gym is $5 per week. With approximately 25 weeks left in Alaska, I'd be saving $25 (plus the cost of gas to and from the rec center) to buy the tunnels instead of frequenting the local gym.

Hmmm.... Decisions-decisions.

What do you think I should do?
